UB Hacking is University at Buffalo's official student-run hackathon. Students are invited to gather at our event to create cool and innovative projects within 24 hours and showcase their achievements. Just bring your laptop (and other personal hygiene products) and we'll prepare the food and swag for a memorable weekend!

Show your commitment to your community by showcasing how mobile Augmented Reality (AR) technology can benefit a local group in need. Volunteerism, tourism, accessibility, helping the underserved, are all ways we help to make a difference to our communities each day." Take today's platforms (ex. Google ARCore, Apple AR Kit, etc.) and explore ways to integrate relevant data, visual assets and AR features together. Determine how you measure success by defining your end user, the business outcomes, how you learn from your users, and benefits they realize by using your product. Create experiences in ways that are meaningful to your user and fit the community focus. What capabilities you decide to explore and showcase is up to you. The judging criteria will assess how well you stich it all together in a new and compelling way, and how you measure success against the business outcomes you've set out to deliver.
